My name is Lara. I am 16 years old and I attend a Swiss boarding school.
I like drawing, and I have been a professional illustrator since I was eight years old.
I've traveled to 67 countries because I want to see people from all over the world.
Since I want to make a lot of friends, I am interested in languages and speak nine languages.
I am planning to be able to speak 12 languages by the end of 2021!
Geneva is a charming city I have to pass by whenever I go to school. It is teeming with people from all over the world, but it still has a very Swiss feeling to it, with the view over the sparklingly blue Leman Lake as a main attraction.
The city is very clean, very safe, with many drinkable water fountains everywhere, and many cute shops. The trams and buses running through the city are free for tourists, so make sure to get one at the hotel! It’s a very easy and convenient system.
What I like to do when I get to Geneva, is to go to Carrouges, a cute part of Geneva with many small, stylish boutiques and restaurants. I like to look at the local artisanal things and then have lunch at a nearby restaurant. The centre of Geneva is also very nice, with world-class brands and high fashion shops, the centre is split in 2 parts by the lake, facing across from each other, connected by a big bridge. The lake is very convenient, because its easy to tell where you are, so you won’t get lost in Geneva if you are around the lake. Make sure to say hello to the swans and ducks in the lake when you go there!
